NITV which is National Indigenous Television is an Australian broadcaster which provides news relating to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. This is a platform which outlines works like current affairs, documentaries and other films, news, sports coverage and many other different news. The current reflection is based on Episodes 4 and 11 of The Living Black. Within the current reflection, the personal feeling relating to the issues raised in the video will be outlined. Also, the fact that how these issues were raised and how they were discussed and their deeper understanding will be outlined.

Paragraph 1

With the help of the interview, I learnt that episode 4, was related to Aunty Pat Anderson who is one of the leading figure in the campaign for voice to the Parliament and is an Australian human rights advocate and health administrator. With the help of episode 4, I learnt that compliance with the Constitution is very necessary. The issue raised by Pat Anderson was that the writings of the constitution are not followed and because of this, the crime and illegal activities are increasing (Keast, 2023). Pat emphasised the fact that when all the regulations listed in the constitution will be followed then the working of the nation will be much better and good. In the interview with Pat, I learnt that having a passion for fighting for the nation is very necessary for becoming a good person. With the help of the interview, I learnt that when there is passion within the person then they can do any task easily and get successful. This is particularly because of the reason that when a person works passionately then they are in a position to attain the objectives easily.

In addition to this, the interview helped me learn that being passionate is very necessary. This is particularly passion is a key skill which keeps the person active relating to the attainment of objectives. This is a very necessary reason that when I will be passionate towards any task then only I will be in a position to attain the objectives easily. This is necessary for the reason that being passionate will be providing a better base for making strategies and trying to make effective strategies for the development of plans and attaining the objectives of a person can be attained (Bednarek, 2021). Further with the interview, it was seen that Pat focused on effective discussion with others. This is very necessary as when more people will be discussing the same problem then it will bring in new and different solutions. Hence, effective brainstorming is very important for the effective solving of any kind of problem. Also when more people are working on the same project then it will be completed in a much better manner.

Also, the focus of Pat identified within the interview was to fight for First Nations Rights. The fighting for this issue included five human rights champions (Wilcox, 2021). This included forming the Australian voice to the UN wherein people living with disability were affected. In addition to this, Pat also worked on the #KidsOffNauru campaign wherein the detained child was taken care of. This simply assisted me to learn that every aspect of society needs to be taken care of so that the overall development of society can take place. This is very necessary as when the overall society will be evaluated then only the societal upliftment will take place.

Paragraph 2

Further, the second video that is episode 11, is related to an interview with Dorinda Cox who is an Australian politician and also a Yamatji Noongar woman. Also with the help of the interview, I learnt that she was the first indigenous woman who represented WA which is Western Australia within the Senate. Further with the help of the interview with Dorinda Cox, it was learnt that listening to the advice of elders is important but the person must also think by considering the external environment as well. As seen in the interview with Cox, it was seen that when she was going for voting for the first time, her father advised her to vote for the labour party and she did so. But after that, she realised that her thoughts align more with the working of greens and this motivated her to vote for them. With this, I learnt that taking advice from every person is necessary but the end decision must be of the person. This is particularly for the reason that every person is different and their perspective of thinking is different. So all the decisions must be taken by self-evaluation only and not by the influence of other people.

The interview further assisted me to learn that setting up clear priorities is very helpful for the person to take decisions and complete the task. This is very essential the reason that when the priorities will be decided then it will guide the person effectively to accomplish any of the tasks (Miles, 2022). Cox stated that setting the priority helps take effective decisions so that the work can be managed properly and effectively. When the priorities are set then there is a direction for the person that how they can plan the work so that the objectives of the task can be attained well. Thus, the skill of prioritisation needs to be well versed so that effectively all the tasks can be prioritised and objectives can be attained.

Conclusion

In the end, it is concluded that the NITV is a platform which broadcasts channels which assist in sharing news and current affairs. The above discussion outlined the interview of two strong women that is Dorinda Cox and Pat Anderson. Both the women were working for the development of society and Aboriginal people within Australia. The above reflection outlined that having a passion for work is very necessary. Also, it was outlined that prioritising the task is very necessary to lay the foundation for the completion of activities in a better and more effective way.
